President's Day Off Custom Day - Progress Report

Yeah, for some reason, my company decided to give us President's Day off this year. No one complained! (We have no gov't affiliation whatsoever).

Since the wife still had to work, the stepson still went to day care, and I had the day, and house, to myself. What a great day to do customs!!!

Worked mostly on the Manga Overtkill Project, and finally dug up that spare Vulcan Raven I had in a box in the attic, so I could use his tank. I'm quite pleased with how it's going to look and work now. It was a pain in the ass to get it on the backpack, but I'll save those pics for my next "in-depth" post after it's all done - one of these months...





In "dry time" of epoxies and putties, I also started a new repaint on a whim (I do that too much):



The flash ruined it, but the armor is all redone, just have to do the main body. One of his forearms snapped off a few years ago, and I had it superglued back on, but I decided I'm gonna redo that joint now and put a new pin back in to restore its original joint. Nothing fancy. I want to just crank out a good repaint of this one - another of my all-time favorites.

All in all, a very relaxing and productive day. Well, except for the babysitting of the PC waiting for the Toyfair coverage oon spawn.com - only to be bummed with no pics... Spawn 26 sounds hot, and I am surprised and excited for TS3. And Robocop. But that's about it...

Anyhow, that's my day off! I wish I had about 4 more this week now... Back to work tomorrow... [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img]
